The County will continue to offer Kaiser Permanente plans to retirees and their eligible dependents living within the Kaiser Permanente zip code service areas. Kaiser offers non-Medicare and Medicare Integrated Plans as listed below and described in more detail in your Retiree Benefits Guide.

If you would like to determine if your zip code is eligible for enrollment or if you would like a Kaiser Permanente Member handbook, call Employee Benefits and Services Division at 909.387.5787. In some areas of Colorado, Oregon, and Washington, the County is able to offer Kaiser non-Medicare and Medicare plans.

Kaiser Permanente HMO (Non-Medicare Retirees)

Kaiser Permanente offers three benefit plans for Non-Medicare retirees: HMO High Option, HMO Low Option and a High Deductible HSA Option. Kaiser Permanente providers (e.g., physicians, hospitals, etc.) contract exclusively with Kaiser Permanente facilities. You have access to virtually full-service, unlimited medical care. However, you must use Kaiser Permanente’s physicians, hospitals and other approved health care providers.

Kaiser Permanente Senior Advantage HMO, Group Plans (Medicare-eligible Retirees)

Kaiser Permanente’s Senior Advantage plan combines your Medicare coverage with Kaiser Permanente’s 70 years of health care experience, quality, and convenience.

  • All the perks of Medicare, including Part D prescription drug coverage, and more.
  • Over one hundred medical facilities to choose from, and virtually no paperwork.

Anyone with Medicare Parts A and B may apply, including persons with disabilities. You must enroll in the Kaiser Permanente service area in which you reside. Members must use plan and affiliated providers for routine care and continue to pay the Medicare Part B premium.

Note: If you are receiving care for a serious health issue, such as an acute condition, pending surgery or advanced pregnancy, you may be eligible for Kaiser’s Continuity of Care program. This program can allow you to continue getting care from your current doctor or hospital. New members must meet certain criteria to qualify for Continuity of Care.
