Safety
Our Department of Public Health is working closely with the California Department of Public Health to ensure FDA-approved vaccinations meet state guidance on safety and effectiveness. To learn more about how the State verifies the safety of a vaccine before it becomes available to residents view our COVID-19 Vaccine Safety FAQS. Once you get a COVID-19 vaccine, you can enroll in v-safe using your smartphone. Participation is voluntary and you can opt-out at any time.
