The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a free and confidential resource provided by the County of San Bernardino to support you and your family through life’s challenges. Whether you’re facing issues related to family, relationships, finances, legal matters, stress, or emotional well-being, professionally trained advisors are here to help. Support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year—whenever you need it most.
Free Counseling and Resources
EAP offers confidential counseling and expert guidance to help you and your loved ones navigate life’s challenges. Services are available at no cost and cover a wide range of topics, including:
Life Challenges
Stress, anxiety, depression, grief, community resources
Family Support
Parenting, divorce, blended families, elder care, education
Financial Guidance
Budgeting, debt, estate planning, wills, housing
Health & Wellness
Fitness, nutrition, sleep, addiction, smoking cessation
Health & Wellness Coaching Program
The EAP offers personalized coaching to help you set goals, stay motivated, and improve your well-being in the following areas:
- Stress Management: Reduce stress with a flexible plan tailored to your needs.
- Diabetes Prevention: Lower your risk with proactive support for managing blood sugar.
- Weight Management: Get practical guidance for sustainable eating and exercise habits.
- Tobacco/Nicotine Cessation: One-on-one support to help you quit for good.
- Sleep Improvement: Overcome barriers and build better sleep routines.
- Ask a Coach: A one-time session for quick, focused advice on any wellness topic.
How to Access Current EAP Services
Employees and their families can start using EAP services today through TELUS Health. Choose any of the following options:
- Call: 1-800-234-2939
- Mobile App: Download the TELUS Health app from the Apple App Store or Google Play
- Online: Visit one.telushealth.com and log in with:
- Username: COSB
- Password: LifeWorks (Case sensitive: Capital “L” and “W”)
What’s Included:
Receive up to five consultations per issue, with unlimited issues covered each calendar year. Sessions may be available by phone, video, or in-person, depending on your needs.

Beginning July 26, 2025, the County’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will transition to Health Advocate.
