Career Technical Connections

Career Technical Education (CTE) blends academics with hands-on training to prepare students for employment. In school, students learn through dynamic classroom experiences that may include lab work and industry-grade equipment. With their completed certificate(s), students can then meet the minimum qualifications to qualify for county positions.

CT Connections helps students obtain entry-level positions with San Bernardino County. School districts play a critical role in this process by providing high-quality CTE programs that equip students with foundational knowledge, technical competencies, and early exposure to career exploration. The County values its strong partnership with local school districts and recognizes the important work educators do to prepare students for the workforce. Through this effort, students can:

• Put certifications to work (CPR, OSHA-10, Adobe, FEMA, IT Fundamentals, and more)
• Step into roles where training is valued
• Build connections that can lead to long-term careers in the community

Building on this foundation, the County helps bridge the gap between CTE completion in high school and meaningful career opportunities in public service.
